LookMood Privacy Policy

LookMood (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website, mobile web app, and related services.

1) Information We Collect

• Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account email, name, and profile picture via OAuth. If you register with email, phone, or anonymous login, we store identifiers in Firebase Auth.
• User Content: Photos, videos, and audio clips you upload for analysis or sharing. Community uploads are public; private uploads stay visible only to you.
• Technical Data (transient): When you use LookMood, technical details such as your IP address, browser, and device may be logged temporarily by Firebase/Google servers for security and performance. LookMood does not permanently store or retain this information in our own systems.
• Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics and/or Google Analytics to measure app usage. Data is aggregated and not used to identify individuals.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide mood analysis services (facial analysis, voice analysis, singing coach).
• Authenticate users and allow profile management.
• Enable community features (sharing, likes, comments, following).
• Maintain security and prevent abuse.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal data and do not use your data for targeted advertising.

3) Google User Data (OAuth)

• We request minimum scopes (basic profile, email) for sign-in.
• Google data is used solely for authentication and profile display.
• We do not share, sell, or transfer Google user data to third parties.
• We do not use Google user data to train or improve AI/ML models.

4) Firebase Data

• Authentication: Google/email/phone/anonymous via Firebase Auth.
• Storage: Photos, videos, and audio clips are stored in Firebase Storage.
• Database: Profiles, likes, comments, and uploads are stored in Firebase Firestore.
• Security: Firebase Security Rules restrict access to authorized users.

Data is retained until you delete it or request account deletion.

5) Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may share data only:

• With your consent (e.g., when you publish community content).
• With service providers (Firebase, Google Cloud) necessary to run the platform.
• To comply with law, regulation, or legal process.

6) Data Security

We use HTTPS, role-based access, and Firebase Security Rules. No method is 100% perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

7) Your Rights

• Access, update, or delete your account at any time.
• Request deletion of your data by emailing contact@lookmood.me.
• Revoke Google sign-in permissions from your Google Account settings.

8) Children’s Privacy

LookMood is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK, where applicable). If a child account is identified, we will delete it.

9) Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll change the effective date above and, when appropriate, notify you through the app.

11) Subscriptions & Billing

LookMood offers a Pro subscription at $4.99/month. Subscriptions are processed securely through RevenueCat and our payment partners. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled in accordance with the refund policy of the app store or payment provider through which you subscribed.

LookMood does not store your payment card details. All billing is managed by our third-party payment processors, who maintain their own privacy and security policies.
